Auth0 Pricing (2026): Plans, MAU Costs and Fine Print

Short answer: Auth0 pricing starts at $35 a month for 500 monthly active users (MAUs) on B2C Essentials and $150 a month on B2B Essentials. The Free plan covers up to 25,000 MAUs with one enterprise connection. Most B2B SaaS teams that sell to companies need B2B Essentials or Professional for the included enterprise SSO connections.

Auth0 plans and prices

Auth0 sells four plans, and the two paid self-serve plans each come in a B2C and a B2B version. Prices below are the lowest published tier (500 MAUs), billed monthly (Auth0 pricing page, checked September 22, 2026). Auth0 is one of several options in the single sign-on software category.

Auth0 does not sell per-seat licenses and publishes no minimum seat count. The unit of billing is the MAU tier you choose.

What Auth0 costs at your MAU count

Auth0's published tier grid lets you read the price directly, then multiply by 12 for monthly billing or by 11 for yearly billing (Auth0 pricing page, checked September 22, 2026).

The last row bills the $100-a-month connection add-on on the same yearly basis as the plan, which is how the calculator on Auth0's pricing page totals a yearly subscription (11 times the monthly amount, checked September 22, 2026). Confirm it in your quote.

Watch out: Auth0's B2B price is set by two meters at once, MAUs and enterprise connections, so a B2B app with few users but many enterprise customers can pay more for connections than for users.

What each Auth0 plan includes

Auth0 Free

The Auth0 Free plan covers up to 25,000 MAUs with unlimited social connections, passwordless login, one custom domain, five organizations, one enterprise connection, self-service SSO, SCIM support and basic attack protection (Auth0 pricing page, checked September 22, 2026). It excludes enterprise MFA, custom database connections, role management and log streaming, and support is community only.

Auth0 Essentials

Auth0 Essentials adds Pro MFA, role management, one log stream and standard support. B2C Essentials allows 10 organizations and includes no enterprise SSO connections: Auth0's pricing page says B2C customers must upgrade to a B2B plan to keep using enterprise connections, self-service SSO and SCIM. B2B Essentials adds unlimited organizations, SCIM and three enterprise SSO connections, with enterprise MFA available at $100 a month and extra connections at $100 a month each, up to 30 connections in total.

Auth0 Professional

Auth0 Professional adds enterprise MFA, enhanced attack protection, custom database connections (useful for migrating users from a legacy user store), Security Center, two log streams and 5,000 machine-to-machine (M2M) tokens. B2B Professional includes five enterprise SSO connections and custom token exchange. Professional tiers stop at 20,000 MAUs on B2C and 10,000 on B2B in the published grid; above that, Auth0 routes you to sales.

Auth0 Enterprise

Auth0 Enterprise is quote only. The pricing page lists custom MAU tiers, a 99.99% SLA, enterprise rate limits and premier support options, and publishes no dollar figure.

Costs beyond the Auth0 license

Auth0's add-ons are listed on the pricing page (checked September 22, 2026):

• Enterprise SSO connections: $100 a month each beyond the included count on B2B plans.
• Enterprise MFA on B2B Essentials: $100 a month.
• M2M tokens: $10 to $1,200 a month on B2B (2,500 to 300,000 tokens) and $30 to $1,200 a month on B2C (7,500 to 300,000 tokens).
• AI agents add-on: priced at 50 percent on top of the base plan price; the page's example is $18 a month on B2C Essentials at 500 MAUs.
• Support and SLA: a published uptime SLA and premier support appear only on Enterprise.

Implementation and developer time are not in any Auth0 price and depend on your stack.

Auth0 free plan and trial

Auth0's Free plan is permanent up to 25,000 MAUs, not a time-limited trial. New tenants also get a 22-day trial of most paid features; when it ends, the Free plan activates automatically and trial-only features switch off (Auth0 support article, updated September 10, 2025). The pricing page says no credit card is needed to sign up for the Free plan; credit card verification is required only to add a custom domain (checked September 22, 2026).

Auth0 discounts and contract terms

Auth0 publishes two discounts. Yearly billing costs 11 times the monthly price, equal to one free month. The Auth0 for Startups program gives one year of B2B Professional free, up to 100,000 MAUs, to venture-backed companies with under $5M in funding, under $1M in annual recurring revenue and under two years since incorporation; existing paid customers are excluded (checked September 22, 2026).

Auth0 also says all paid plans are eligible for a discount under its Social Impact Program for nonprofits, but it does not publish the discount rate. Education discounts are not published. Minimum contract term and cancellation terms for self-serve plans are not stated on the pricing page.

Auth0 renewal pricing and MAU overages

Auth0 does not publish a separate renewal rate or a first-year promotional price. The practical renewal risk is tier creep. An Auth0 staff reply on the Auth0 Community forum (July 10, 2025) says paid tenants have no hard MAU limit, admins get email notices when they exceed their tier, and after three consecutive months over the limit the subscription is upgraded automatically to a tier that fits (Auth0 Community).

Budget for the next tier up if your MAU count is growing, because the step from 10,000 to 20,000 MAUs doubles the B2C Essentials price and moves B2B Professional to a sales quote.

How Auth0 pricing compares

WorkOS is the product B2B engineering teams most often weigh against Auth0 for enterprise SSO. For a B2B app with 10,000 MAUs and 5 enterprise SSO customers, billed monthly:

The products are not feature-equivalent: the WorkOS figure excludes its $99 custom domain and paid support, and Auth0 bundles MFA, attack protection and log streams into the plan. Other SSO vendors' prices were not checked for this page.

Is Auth0 worth the price?

Auth0 fits consumer apps under 25,000 MAUs, which can run on the Free plan, and B2C apps that want Essentials features at $70 to $700 a month up to 10,000 MAUs. The per-MAU cost stays flat on B2C Essentials, so budgeting is predictable.

Auth0 is harder to justify for B2B SaaS where revenue grows by enterprise customer rather than by user. Each enterprise SSO connection beyond the included three or five adds $100 a month, and B2B list prices start at roughly four times the B2C rate. A team whose main need is enterprise SSO for its customers should price a connection-based product such as WorkOS against the same scenario. Early-stage startups that qualify for the free year of B2B Professional should apply before choosing a plan.

Bottom line

If you run a consumer app, start on Auth0 Free and budget B2C Essentials at $0.07 per MAU a month once you need MFA and support. If you sell to businesses, count your enterprise SSO customers before your users, because connection add-ons move the B2B price faster than MAUs do.
