What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser, usually to remember you between visits. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device fingerprinting.

What ITSecureOps uses

ITSecureOps (itsecureops.com) sets no cookies. We run no analytics, advertising, retargeting or social media tracking scripts, and we do not use pixels or fingerprinting. Because the site sets no cookies and collects no consent-bearing data, it shows no cookie banner.

Things that still happen in your browser

• Local storage for the shortlist tool. If you build a shortlist, your selections are stored in your own browser so the page can remember them. That data stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
• Fonts. Pages load two typefaces from Google Fonts. Google receives the request, including your IP address, as it would for any file loaded from another domain. Google states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles.
• Server logs. Our host records standard request logs (IP address, browser, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. The privacy policy covers these.

Third-party content

We do not embed videos, comment systems, chat widgets, maps or social feeds, which are the usual source of third-party cookies on a content site. Links to vendor websites are plain links: they carry no tracking parameters from us, though the destination site will have its own cookie practices.

What would change this

If we later add analytics, embedded media or advertising, or if a page carries an affiliate link that uses tracking, we will update this page, list what is set, and add a consent mechanism where the law requires one. The date at the top shows when this page last changed.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Since this site sets none, blocking them does not affect how it works, except that clearing browser data will empty a saved shortlist.
