Privacy policy
The short version: we do not track you, run ads or sell data. This page lists the little information that does pass through the site.

Who we are
ITSecureOps (itsecureops.com) publishes independent research about IT and security software. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@itsecureops.com.
What we do not do
- We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking scripts.
- We do not set cookies.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with vendors or anyone else.
- Links to vendor websites are currently not affiliate links and carry no tracking parameters from us. If that changes, this policy and the affected pages will say so.
Information that is processed
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider, Hostinger, records standard request logs: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are kept according to Hostinger’s retention settings. We do not use them to profile visitors.
Fonts
Pages load the Inter and Newsreader typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver the font files, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. Google’s handling of that data is described in the Google privacy policy.
Search and the shortlist builder
Site search and the shortlist builder run entirely in your browser. What you type or select is not sent to us.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic, the page you mention and your message. They are delivered to our mailbox by email and used only to reply and, where you report an error, to correct the page. We keep messages for as long as needed to handle them, then delete them. To limit spam, the server keeps a hashed, non-reversible counter of recent submissions per connection for one hour.
Where your information is handled
ITSecureOps is operated from India, so any message you send us is read and stored there. Our hosting provider keeps its server logs on its own infrastructure. If you write to us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with data transfer rules, sending us a message means your message travels to India, which those rules treat as a country without an adequacy decision. We use what you send only to reply to you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any message you have sent us by writing to contact@itsecureops.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR give you further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the site collects, for example by adding privacy-friendly analytics, we will update this page and its date before the change goes live.
